gpl flags
« on: June 12, 2010, 18:14:49 PM »
Does anyone knows a gpl pack with the flags of the different countrys ? We are trying to rebuild the scoreboard, and i think it is a nice idea to have the countrys in the scoreboard (like in E+) and i want to avoid to create all country flags (~200) on my own. I didnt found any readme file in E+ about those flags, so i think it isnt legally allowed to use them in a gpl project, but please correct me if i am wrong, would safe me a lot of work.

Edit:

Perry gave me this link (GPL):

http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/KBFlags?content=26296

Panic this link (Public Domain):

Thanks for those packs, allthough the icons are very small  (21x14  and  16x11 px), so we will have to see how they will look ingame

its free, but not gpl. I have no real idea what is the difference. But if you can use it cool, otherwise good luck.

I just found that link

2400 Flag Icon Set

They just want a donation for commercial use, so I guess we can use them for our project because its non-commercial, but can someone who has a idea about licenses and that stuff take a look at it?
