I can get in and play but everything is distorted and I can't run or turn with any speed.

Hey Jesus!  We're always glad to have your holy presence on Evil.  Your problem sounds like a dream I've had.... can't turn or run.  My suggestion: SCREAM!

You know you are paying too much when you start dreaming about it.
On Evil Arena it feels like everyone else is on speed and I am on Moggadon.
It's the same on some other servers too but on most I am fine.
Wish I knew how to sort it. 

Hm remove the "q3config.cfg" in the Folder "CTF" (in Program Files/OpenArena, use the search from your OS) and DONT remove your q3config.cfg from /baseoa
