Clown is working hard to implement new stuff (latest: ready / not ready system like QL and a simplified timeout), so i think we can soon talk about some kind of fun league to bring more variety into your daily gaming and to keep the community alive. Here is the idea:
Since there is already a clan league for ctf and elimination, i suggest a not clan based fun league, starting with elimination, perhabs expand it later with duel, tdm and/or ffa.
Depending on the number of subscriptions this could be realized by 2vs2 or 3vs3 elimination matches, at which everybody is playing with everbody (changing the teams for each matchday). Make it this way would also allow clanless people and newcomers to participate, which would result (hopefully) in more people playing elimination (cant see anymore all those insta oasago servers online, seriously). The ranking would be a 'singleplayer' ranking, that after one round everybody played with everybody you can see on which rank you personally are.
The map pool would contain some small elimination-able maps like pro-dm6, sokar3dm5, overkill (perhabs too big for 2vs2) and as well some other maps from the CA map pack which is yet on the server.
Please let me know if you are interested in this kind of events, if we are about ~ 20 people willing to play elimination, i would begin to work out some simplified rules (no worry, not something like the 2342345 rules from OACL) and perhabs make a small newbe guide how to set up oaUnofficial.
